EGC Case Studies

Case studies provide experience in applying the fundamentals explored in this class to authentic, complex geologic systems impacted by human activities.

We coneptualize the Earth as a system, focusing on specific suficial systems such as soils, sediments, groundwater, lakes, wetlands and estuaries. In particular, we will explore the use of a reductionist approach to the understanding of these complex systems.
